From being a captivated audience member at the Orbit Engineering Expo 2022 to taking on the role of Robotics/Hardware Coordinator for the upcoming 2024 edition, Er. Sandip Gotame’s journey has been filled with challenges, growth, and exciting opportunities. Reflecting on his experience, Sandip shares, “The journey from being an audience member at Orbit Engineering Expo 2022 to being selected as the Robotics/Hardware Coordinator for the 2024 event has been nothing short of transformative.”
In 2022, Sandip was fascinated by the event’s exciting highlights, such as RoboWars, RoboSoccer, RoboPop, and the diverse range of projects presented at the expo. He vividly recalls being drawn in by the aura of the event, which included not just cutting-edge technology but also entertainment, including a musical night. “After visiting Orbit Engineering Expo 2022, I eagerly wanted to be a part of the next event,” he reflects. Now, two years later, he finds himself in a leading role, helping to coordinate Nepal’s first international-level engineering expo.
Sandip’s path to becoming the Robotics/Hardware Coordinator wasn’t without its challenges, but it’s a role he has embraced with enthusiasm and confidence. His background as the Creative Lead and Robotics Trainer at Engineers Vlogs provided him with the technical knowledge and leadership experience necessary to step into this important position. “Being associated with Engineers Vlogs has helped me immensely in developing my core skills,” he says. “I stumble upon self-improvement every day when I’m surrounded by the Engineers Vlogs team. The experiences I’ve had there have helped me grow personally and professionally.”
As Sandip prepares for the 2024 Orbit Engineering Expo, he acknowledges that the upcoming event presents both more significant challenges and greater opportunities. He is particularly excited about coordinating the Robotics and Hardware section, bringing the thrill of technological innovation to life. “I’m more than excited to feel the thrill of coordinating Nepal’s 1st International-Level Engineering Expo,” he shares, eager to bring his passion for robotics to a broader audience.
The Orbit Engineering Expo 2024, set to take place at Sagarmatha Engineering College, Sanepa, Lalitpur, on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of December 2024, promises to be an extraordinary event. Sandip is particularly grateful for the support of Sagarmatha Engineering College and Sagarmatha College of Science and Technology, which are serving as both the title sponsor and venue partner for this prestigious expo. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to these institutions for believing in us and making this event possible,” he adds.
As he continues his academic journey in Electronics, Communication, and Information Engineering at Kathmandu Engineering College, Sandip’s role in the Orbit Engineering Expo is an extension of his passion for innovation and technology. His leadership in coordinating the robotics and hardware aspects of the event reflects his deep commitment to advancing engineering excellence in Nepal.
