Dhiraj Kumar Sah has always had a meticulous eye for detail and an innate ability to manage complex logistics. His journey with the Orbit Engineering Expo began in 2022, when he served as the Logistics Coordinator. In this role, he was responsible for ensuring that all logistical elements were in place, from the smallest details like paper pins to the large-scale management of stage setups, sound systems, and lighting. This hands-on experience gave Dhiraj the opportunity to fully grasp the importance of detailed planning and efficient coordination in managing a large-scale event.
Looking back on his time as the Logistics Coordinator, Dhiraj reflects on the immense challenges he faced, yet overcame. “The role was incredibly challenging and demanded constant attention to detail. Ensuring everything ran smoothly was no small feat,” he says. But with the support of a strong team, he found that even the most difficult challenges could be managed successfully. His ability to organize activities systematically and prioritize logistical elements gave him a profound understanding of how to ensure seamless event operations. “This experience taught me invaluable lessons in logistics management,” he adds.
Now, as the Event Manager for the 2024 Orbit Engineering Expo, Dhiraj oversees every aspect of the event. His experience in logistics has proven essential in managing the complexities of this international expo, making him well-prepared to lead. With the aim to create an environment where creativity, collaboration, and engineering excellence thrive, Dhiraj is focused on ensuring that all stakeholders—team members, sponsors, participants, and visitors—experience the same exceptional level of organization and coordination that made the 2022 expo a success.
