As the Hospitality Coordinator for Orbit Engineering Expo 2.0, Aayusha Bhattarai’s journey has been nothing short of transformative. Her story is one of stepping into unknown territory and emerging as a leader in an event that showcases engineering excellence. What started as a spontaneous decision in her second semester at Sagarmatha Engineering College has turned into a significant chapter in her academic and professional life.
“I had limited knowledge regarding this field when I first got involved, but stepping into it marked the beginning of an enriching journey,” says Aayusha. Initially joining the Orbit Engineering Expo as a volunteer, she quickly learned the ropes of event management, teamwork, and collaboration. What made the experience stand out for her was the connections she built, particularly with Engineers Vlogs. Their mentorship and professionalism deeply impacted her, shaping her journey within the engineering community.
Through her involvement with Engineers Vlogs and the Expo, Aayusha participated in several other events, building a network of talented individuals and honing her skills. The practical knowledge and opportunities she gained through her experiences have been invaluable. “The skills, relationships, and opportunities I’ve gained have been immense, and I owe much of this to my time at Sagarmatha Engineering College,” she reflects.
Now, in 2024, she finds herself at the forefront of one of the most anticipated engineering expos as the Hospitality Coordinator. She is not only managing logistics but also contributing creatively to the event’s marketing efforts. The growth of the Orbit Engineering Expo, both in scale and significance, is something she has witnessed firsthand. “It’s exciting to see how much the event has grown, and this year, it’s being organized on a grander scale than ever before.”
Aayusha credits much of this success to the unwavering support of Sagarmatha Engineering College, the title sponsor, along with Sagarmatha College of Science and Technology. “The college has played a pivotal role in making this event possible, providing the resources and support necessary to empower students like me,” she acknowledges.
Being part of Orbit Engineering Expo 2.0 has not only enriched Aayusha’s academic journey but has also allowed her to grow personally and professionally. She looks forward to continuing her work in this dynamic community and contributing to future events that showcase engineering excellence and innovation. “It’s been an overwhelming yet rewarding experience, and I am excited for what the future holds as I continue to grow within this community.”
Aayusha’s journey from a volunteer to a key coordinator at the Orbit Engineering Expo reflects the power of opportunity, mentorship, and hands-on experience in shaping a student’s career trajectory. Her story serves as an inspiration for many other students who are looking to make their mark in the world of engineering and beyond.
